Keep Your Rug Looking Fresh!
All our rugs are machine washable – you can find the detailed washing instructions here.
But don’t worry, you don’t always need to wash your rug! Many stains can be easily removed with a simple spot clean – quick, effective, and gentle. Here are our tips to help you get the best results.
How does spot cleaning work?
Apply a spot cleaner directly to the stain. Don’t have one at home? No problem - a simple mix of water and dish soap works ~ almost ~ just as well. For tougher stains, let the solution sit for 1–2 minutes before cleaning.
What’s the best way to remove the stain?
Use a clean, white terry cloth towel to blot, wipe, and gently rub the affected area. For more stubborn stains, use a soft brush to gently loosen the rug fibers and lift the stain. Afterward, use a towel to absorb the residue.
If needed, repeat the process until the stain is gone.
Do I need to rinse or wash the rug afterward?
No. There’s no need to rinse or wash – just let it air dry and you’re done!
Which stains come out easily?
Wine, coffee, soy sauce, mustard, dirt, mud, urine, or feces.
Which stains might need a bit more effort?
Hot sauce, ketchup, tomato sauce, olive oil. Tip: Repeat the spot cleaning process 1–2 times for best results.
Which stains are unlikely to come out?
Acrylic or oil paint. These types of stains penetrate deeply into the fibers and usually can’t be fully removed.
